Building A Home For The Homeless!

Hi everyone! This month we begin building the first tiny home. On Saturday, November 23rd, we will start building this home for an unhoused neighbor together! This will be a fun event with a community lunch, time to socialize, and an experience to learn about the work happening in Portland. There will be professionals to guide and instruct those who want to participate while others can see the plan for the future and get involved!

The tiny home is being built on the property of Cultivate Initiatives; an amazing nonprofit whose work includes community beautification, portable showers, work opportunities for unhoused neighbors, and managing a tiny home community of 50+ residents.

We will get started at 11:00am as we set up a free lunch for everyone involved including donated foods from places in Portland. At noon, the build leaders will walk everyone through the various roles and work we will…
