The Recycled Living Team
Amber Terlouw - Technical Engineering Advisor
She has a degree in mechanical engineering and experience working as a tool design engineer in the aerospace industry. She's passionate about using technical knowledge to solve deeply human problems. Recycled Living's mission has greatly inspired her and am excited to be part of the team as a Technical Engineering Adviser. Also I identify as LGBTQA+.
Patricia Fisher - Engineering Project Manager
I grew up in rural Missouri originally and was a first generation student in college. As someone LGBTQIA+ identifying I've personally had to endure quite a lot of discrimination growing up in an environment that was not accepting of my existence. I majored first in an A.S. in Engineering Science at Saint Louis Community College Meramec. Afterwards I went to Missouri University of Science and Technology (Rolla, MO) for my Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. I ended up employed as a Manufacturing Engineer for Boeing working on the NASA Space Launch System program on the Exploration Upper Stage. My role included overseeing writing the manufacturing work instructions and plans for each control point and understanding the full scope of the technical usage of the hardware. I know the people that I want to help in the world. I've experienced their challenges myself and I'm passionate about doing everything I can to help people avoid the situations I've faced.
Charlie Abrams - Director
I spent most of my childhood volunteering with the nonprofits Renew Oregon, Citizens Climate Lobby, and Oregon Environmental Council predominately working to pass Carbon Pricing Policy on the state and national level. Engaged in activism my entire life, Recycled Living was started to have the greatest impact possible on two of the most pressing issues our community faces.
